THE WOODS AND THE CASTLE

THE WOODS AND THE CASTLE is the novel I'm finishing. It's a YA metaphysical/paranormal drama--an odd contemporary fantasy story, basically--about a girl who finds out that her invisible friend is evil. Summary

Julie's best friend, the enigmatic spirit she calls Adrian, is the center of her world. He haunts her dreams and keeps her company during the day, distracting her from the world outside her head. When Julie takes an interest in a new classmate, clever and confident Hector Medina, Adrian grows jealous. He possesses Hector's body and drags both teenagers deep into the woods, beginning a dangerous conflict that not all of them will survive.
